The Essie Project is a tribute to my Aunt Essie, who died of childhood cancer when I was five years old. Losing her at such a young age profoundly shaped my life and ultimately inspired my career as an oncology nurse practitioner. What began as a personal tribute has grown into a storytelling initiative exploring legacy, healing, and the enduring impact of one life.
